Economizer Coils

Economizer coils are boiler feed-water heaters in which heat from waste flue gases is recovered to raise the temperature of feed water supplied to the boiler. This increases fuel economy, steaming capacity and boiler life while reducing pollution.

Siddhi Enterprises has fabricated plain tubular economizers, finned economizers, cast-iron gilled economizers, feed-water heaters and evaporator coils.

A key problem faced by boiler engineers is erosion of economizer-coil tubes, particularly at bends. The company offers solutions intended to extend coil life, including cassette baffles for bends, half-tube sleeves for upper tubes and stainless-steel full-sleeved tubes.

Super-Heater Coils

Super-heater coils are among the most critical boiler components in a modern thermal power plant and are subjected to very high metal temperatures.

The ability of the superheater to work without failure at higher temperatures influences boiler capacity and improves economy by reducing the steam consumption of the steam turbine.

Boiler Bank Tubes

Boiler bank tubes are bent-to-shape steam-generating tubes in which water is converted to steam. They carry a mixture of water and steam.

These tubes are fabricated in various sizes and shapes. Their generally larger bend radius still requires tube-bending expertise to avoid wrinkles, surface cracking and irregularities, supporting long tube life and smooth, efficient boiler operation.

04 / Enhanced Heat Transfer

Studded Bed Coils

Studded tubes are used to increase surface area and achieve higher heat-transfer rates. They are used in fluidized-bed coils, fluidized-bed superheaters and refinery reheaters.

Automatic stud-welding machines use the drawn-arc method and can weld studs up to 13 mm diameter at a close pitch of 63 stud planes per metre in a cross-linear arrangement.

Stud and tube materials may be similar or dissimilar, ranging from carbon steel to alloy steel up to 9Cr and stainless steel. Special HVOF chromium-carbide coating can also be provided on surfaces subject to high erosion velocity from flue gases, to reduce frequent replacements.
